...Plus, there's something a little "Tribblie-ish" about the last panel when they open a chest and lots of little balls come out! I have a feeling that Roomie looks on KP's stash just like Kirk looked on the Tribblie invasion on the Enterprise (I am a GIANT dork). I'm afraid that the cake-shaped ball-winder yarn would be far too neat and organized to represent the amount of yarn in KP's life. :-)

Hey M! Too funny. I just finished up a shawl project and was knitting off balls because I had a major yarn barf that required pulling out the skeins and re-rolling the balls. I see your point, but I think that the yarn ball shape is just the universal design for yarn. It's even the symbol for Ravelry.com, Simply Socks Yarn Company, and in the logo for Sock Summit.

I LOVE the new style. It reminds me of Bunty and Mandy comics. Feel like I'm back in school spilling over a christmas annual. Love it!

Since our awesome new artist is ... well, new -- another thing to take note of (since you're drawing for an audience of knitters!) is that most yarn is actually not sold -- or even used -- in the stereotypical ball shape. Mostly it's bought in hanks like this one or skeins like this one, and wound into roughly cylindrical center-pull balls like these with a ball winder and swift. Any knitty princess worth her salt will have a ball winder of her own!

Again, sorry to nitpick ... but it's the little things, right?

If she plugs it back in it will protect from moths. :)
I love the new style because it brings a seriousness to knitting that wasn't there before. I even got my brother to take a peek.

Would everyone please stop making complaints about the style Knit Princess is being drawn in? I think it looks fine, and I think the last one looked fine as well. Just give it some time, you'll get used to it.

ARGH. I appreciate that Knit Princess has a large tiara again, but now she and the roommate look like stiff paper dolls, or corpses animated by jolts of electricity(used sparingly to keep the power bill from getting too high).

Plug that freezer back in. That way the yarn will know what to expect when it's been turned into a winter scarf.
